Have you thought about getting into contact with your council office? I had a similar experience with the very same company a little while ago (all sorted now) but at the time they were very bullying, nasty and insisting on oodles of pennies I just did not have (from a debt I didn't even know we had, thought it had been paid via attachment of earnings way back in 1994!), in desperation I spoke to the council who were responsible for the council tax and explained the problems and she in turned spoke to Rossendales (they had laid charges on the account that she just could not understand) and in the end they had to accept what I was offering and got a reduction in the fees.
Turns out they had added fees where they were not supposed to and got in deep doo doo with the council over it.We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

I took the good advice you have posted and contacted the Council offices.
This was done on Sunday and I had a reply today.
They say they handed the debt over to Rossendale's with no baliff costs.
Does that mean Rossendale's appointed their own bailiffs after "taking me to court"
I think they have just added the bailiff costs without going to court.
Rossendales's say the council set then guidelines of how much to ask as a repayment, yet the Council say they have nothing to do with it after it is handed over.
[HTML]I say this cautiously as many bailiffs will attempt to say that they have levied on a vehicle on your driveway. But if they have, they must provide documentary evidence.

They say that £22 and £16.50 have been added as the bailiff called.
I said I did not receive anything through the door and want proof.
There reply was they were notified they had been. All come to he who waits!
