    hi,

We've gone for the M&S insurance too. It's better to be safe than sorry. We went for the lowest priced option and it even includes having a replacement photographer if at the last minute your own cancels on you.

We were unsure at first whether to get insurance but sadly friends of ours are having to re-arrange their wedding as one of the fathers has terminal cancer so are bringing it forward. I don't know if they have insurance but if they did the insurance would cover the re-arranging/loss of deposits too.

Considering how expensive weddings are, in my humble opinion an extra £50 for piece of mind is well worth it (oh forgot, also includes if presents go missing too) x

We took out insurance and i would rather have it and not need it than not have it and need it. It is a very small fraction of the cost of any wedding. We have M& S and my parents took it out as they are paying for the wedding. With 5 days left all my mother keeps saying is that the insurance wont cover me or my oh not turning up!:) lol

Yes, as far as I know there's no policy that covers change of mind... ;)
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

  • Thanks everyone

Have decided to go with Ecclesiastical Level 2 for £60 which is a drop in the ocean when I think about what we're spending! I applied online and the paperwork came through today. It all looks pretty straightforward and they look like a very responsible company.

Obviously haven't needed to claim (and hopefully won't in the future!) but would recommend so far!

  • M&S tier 1 insurance is only £59 and you get £19.50 cashback through quidco too so really £40 for insurance.
