Hi all,
The usual question - which laptop - but I've narrowed it down to these six candidates (!):

(with £20 off -so £479)

The laptop will be used mainly for internet, word, excel and possiblty photo-editing (not too much though).
Couple of things I'd like to clear up:
1. Is a highter T number better than a lower one? i.e is a T7250 necessarily better than a T5250?
2. Can I order a laptop without Windows Vista? I have heard that Vista slows down laptops considerably and would be better to have XP...is this true?
My own thoughts on above laptops:
Fujitsu seems to have best spec (T7250, 2.0 GHz, 250GB, 2GB RAM) on paper, but not sure of Fujitsu reputation for laptops? How reliable compared with Sony and Toshiba?
Sony and Toshiba both have good reputation, but spec-wise seem a bit underpowered compared to Fujitsu? Second Toshiba above cheap and could upgrade RAM for not much money..?
Dell, seems good value for money but again not sure about their laptop quality - how reliable?
Samsung - looks nice, not sure about their reputation for laptops and spec-wise seems a bit underpowered (only T5450)?
Any help and guidance much appreciated! Thanks!!

Hello!
All of them laptops are powerful enough! :j
I would personally go for the Fujitsu Siemens ESPRIMO Mobile V5505!
Normally higher T's are better, but it also depends on the clock speed of the processor.
Vista should be fine...... if you really face slowdown that you notice, then you can install XP later
Hope this helps!
