wholesalers?

Hi,

I've often considered starting up my own ebay business, but whenever I've looked for wholesalers/dropshippers/etc. all I seem to find is someone trying to sell me an ebook containing lots of crap links that I can find myself by going to google. I was just wondering if anyone uses/has used the following company...

https://secure.worlddomain.ws/wholesaleservices/

...before I discard it like all the rest of 'em

I'm checking it out now. Have you actually used any of the companies listed here?
  • No I haven't as I have one supplier that I use for the goods I sell. I have checked out a lot of the companies websites though. Also I went to a trade show earlier this year and got talking to the owner.

One thing I did find with some of the wholesalers was that while they'll sell to you cheap, they're also on ebay selling the stuff to. Therfore you buy the gear thinking you can sell it for a profit, but it's already on there being sold at the price you paid. :-[

lol cheeky buggers. thanks for the site i'll look at it in more detail when i get the chance :)
  • I've used them a few times. They're ok.... :-/ but they do tend to have stuff you can find through thewholesaler. Although the obvious advantage is it's all in one place!

There is a bit of cr*p on there but they do have an occasional good deal every now and then, especially on gadgets and mobiles that's what I use them for.

I've just been looking into this. There are some 'drop shippers' around who sound great on the face of it, but it's worth checking what they can actually supply. Be careful before you part with your membership fee......

For example, http://www.music-dropshipping.co.uk/ claims to have 1000s of CDs which you can order for £1. They give an encouraging example...... Joe sells Item A for £10 + £2 P+P on Ebay, Joe then places the order for Item A on our website through his dropshipping account and gets charged the wholesale price of £3 + £1.50 P&P. The goods arrive at the customer and Joe makes £7.50 profit from this transaction.

Sounds great. But if you find the list of titles available, you'll see that they're the sort of CDs you usually see for sale in petrol stations for 2.99. ("Best of Irish Gospel Vol. 3", "Hits From The Blitz - 20 WWII Tracks", etc). I'll eat my hat if anyone manages to sell these for a tenner !
  • If your intrested you may want to check out this site - http://traderonlineforum.com/index.php?act=idx - they are all traders and seem to be a helpful bunch - plenty of good advice and information....
