Hello, i have just purchased a multigym with 100kg of weight and would ideally want to put it upstairs. My question is would the ceiling be able to take the weight without any problems, obviously there is the weight of the gym and the weight of the person using it.
Any help / advice apprecitated
Thanks

Probably best to ask a structural engineer. But thinking logically, if a normal bloke weighs about 70-80kg, I would imagine a floor/ ceiling could support 180kg, they are probably made to support more, but again best to check.0

I would have thought most floors will cope with this weight... but perhaps not dropped from a height!

I used a York multigym in a bedroom for years in my old place with no issues.
That was built in the 30's though and was pretty solid.
Even in a new house the floor construction must be capable of taking the weight of several people so i suspect you will be fine.0 -
