You don't need an electrician. Just an aerial installer. Although personally I'd just do it myself. It's just a case of buying a decent aerial fixing it to the roof (or in attic in some cases if good enough signal) and running off enough cable and threading it through drilled holes depending on where it's got to go.
Although I assume you have an existing living room TV, is there a problem with the existing aerial for that?"She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

Depending on signal in your area, an indoor one may do."She is quite the oddball. Did you notice how she didn't even get excited when she saw this original ZX-81?"

You just need a decent aerial (high gain) and signal strength. An aerial booster is usually an advantage as well. Despite some people's marketing there's no such thing as a digital aerial. It's just that digital TV is particularly picky at needing a very good signal. All our TVs are now either digital or use freeview boxes but they're all connected to external aerials that are 20 plus years old. It's difficult to advise exactly what'd be the best solution for you without knowing what the signal is like in your house and so you may need a loft aerial or even external aerial no matter how good the indoor one is if there's not a particularly strong signal. Unfortunately it's not that easy to tell if it's a strong signal just by looking at an analogue TV channel."She is quite the oddball. So, is it OK to wire up multiple TV sets to a single aerial?
How is it done, what kit is needed please?0 -
All you need is an ariel splitter cost no more than a pound. ** metres of coax cable. averaqe price 30p to 40p a metre. Connect the incoming ariel to the splitter and then connect from the splitter to your downstairs tele. connect the second splitter point up then feed it upstairs. simple as that. less than a fiver should cover all.0
