I bought a organic pork joint a while back reduced to clear in asda and popped it in the freezer. Am thinking we should really be eating it soon, but have to confess I have no idea what to do with it! Was thinking if I put it in the fridge overnight tonight to defrost it and then maybe do something with it in the slow cooker tmrw. Can anyone help? Have no idea what to put it in the slow cooker with!

Strangely enough we did the same and have just got ours out of the freezer now. But as to cooking, it depends on what joint it is. Ours is leg so it will be defrosted and then roast on a grid over a bed of apples, sage, onions and cider. If it has it's skin on it could end up too fatty to slow cook. You could skin and slice it into thick chuncky chops and use the same mix as we are using but in the slow cooker.C.R.A.P.R.O.L.L.Z Able Archer0

There's a Lamb and Leek casserole in the Old Style Recipe Collection that you could swap for pork and just do in the slow cooker, and in fact there are quite a few recipes to choose from in the Slow Cooker Collection too

You can find them both in our "Indexed Collections" sticky at the top of the forum listing, or you can follow the clue in my signature any time you see it or...
..you can use the Indexed Collections link in the Blue Bar at the top of every page which looks something like this:-
