Boots Grabbit Bargains Thread part 3 - post your finds here

Inverness branch (at the retail park)had some more bargains today - a Scooby Doo Suitcase on wheels down to £5, also had one in the Heffalump the movie design for the same price. Got a few disney princess toys as well down to £2.30 each Im sure they were almost £10 a few weeks ago. Not much elso left there Im afraid.

I bought the heffalump one today in glasgow for 8.50!!!! Oh well, toddler is very happy and has spent all night pulling it round the house in preperation for her 'hodilay' so still glad i got it - just shows how much the prices change regionally

Does anyone know how long it takes before the points are added to your advantage card after receiving an order from their website. I received an order on Monday 15 Aug, went to buy something at Boots today and my till receipt did not show the extra points.

Can someone enlighten me please!

I think you actually have to insert your card into the instore machine to have them downloaded but not positive on this one. I also think it is six days after your delivery/despatch date that they get added.

Yes ben500 you are correct you do have to insert your card into the instore advantage card machine, you can do it straight away. I usually go in the next day to do it, when you put card in the machine it says something like ' updating your points total' and then prints out a ticket which say you have had .'however'. many points from Boots.com added to your total.
I always do it straight away to check they have given me the correct number of points.
Also the points added have to be collected by a certain time it usually tells you when they have to be collected by on your delivery note, some products have a shorter time frame and also I think when it is triple/double points to get your triple/double points total they have to be collected insore from the advantage point machine before the promotion ends.

I Have Not Recieved Any Extra Points From The Balls Up 2 Weeks Ago But Then Have Not Been Charged So Cant Complain.... :d

boots has changed their printing on there invoice sheets to say that the points would be showing for you to update on the advantage machines within 7 days...meaning the timeframe for them to process them not time to collect them... I did query this with them before and they were in the process of changing the wording as it caused misunderstanding.

Did you not get any points added to your card? I take it you're talking about when the site was giving a mega load of extra points.
