  • :D Just been to boots, got my Danielle Ryman cream worth £12 free, after a debate with the checkout. They wouldn't accept it and told me to ring the number on the front of the voucher as they probaby weren't participating in the offer. I then rang the number on my mobile, from outside, who told me to go back in as if the store has it in stock, then they must accept the voucher.

Went back in, and rightly so, got my cream!! Very nice as well, very impressed. It will make a good crimbo pressie for my mother in law! I think I will go and buy another copy of Zest and treat myself!!

Also got free tissues from the AP machine and there were vouchers for 100 extra points from the boots traditional range. Got me some handcream which was £1.39, so effectively 39p.

    I am loving Boots!

    :D

Oh and got £5 voucher also!!! :rotfl:
  • Happy.

Went to Teesside Park shopping event last night. I was planning to go along and use the 1000 points coupon off kids (spend more than £30) clothes from the older boots magazine which ended yesterday and I forgot it. I was really annoyed with myself.

But I bought them anyway as the 1200 points evening was on and I thought it would be a good deal anyway. I ending up spending £104 including 2 avent baby things which I regularly sell on ebay to americans.

I printed out a 500 point coupon from the advantage machine, which clearly stated it could not be used, but thought I would chance it.

I was soooo pleased when I looked at my receipt, I had been given 1500 points from boots parenting club, the 500 points from my coupon and 2400 points from event and then normal points of 418 (i think).

overall I managed to get £50 worth of points on a £100 spend! Brilliant, especially as the two avent things will sell on ebay for £30 each!!!

Lots of free PJ's and clothes for friends and families children.

So good infact that I went round again, spent another £60 and now have £99 worth of points on my card.

I think that was a blooming good deal for in-store.

I am still not sure why I got the extra 1500 from the parenting club, but hey, I am happy.

FORGOT TO ADD - Also got two £5 vouchers !!! hehe

if you're a member you should get this number of points every time you spend 75 pounds, instore or online.

  • Excuse my ignorance, but can you join the parenting club if you are not pregnant or have a baby - do they check at all , or can you tell them you're expecting triplets!!
(I have got 3 children, it's just that they are a bit bigger!)

I'm guessing that you could tell them whatever you wanted to - I don't think they will send anyone round to check whether you really do have triplets on the way!
  • Hi Babybimbles I am afraid I did not notice. Thanks for the info on why I got the extra points. What a great deal for anyone on kids stuff at these xmas shopping events. Spend 75 and get over £30 in points back, and then whatever 3 for 2's, triple points (huggies etc) you can. It deserves it's own thread.
