cancel an item on ebay?

Hi, please can someone tell me how to cancel an item I have for sale on Ebay? I don't mind about losing any fees, I'm just not happy selling it. I have one bid on it.

Please can you help?

(Thanks in advance as i'm offline soon for the night!)

hi go to your ebay page, items you are selling then there is a click down box and in that box there is an opportunity to "end item" just click on it and follow instructions, its really easy.

I must be really dim because I can't see a click down box or a way to one to get to end selling!

You can't close the listing while you have a bid. So you'll need to cancel the bid first and then try to cancel the auction.

    hi again!!!

strange, i have just looked again, i go into my ebay, on the left hand side of the page it says selling, sold, scheduled etc etc, click on selling, then you will see your items for sale, towards the right hand of the screen there is a heading saying action, at the moment it should say sell similar, if you click on the little button next to it, it will give the option to end your item:j

Thanks debtsucks, I can see where it should be but as it's got a bid I suppose I don't get the option! Thanks soolin, I've emailed them and hopefully they'll cancel their bid. If not who knows!

You can cancel bids on an item yourself as the seller.

Are you cancelling as you don't think it will sell for much? Any watchers? Normally yu get lots of bids in the last hour.

You can, unless there are less than 12 hours to run on the auction

You need the item number, enter on this link

    http://offer.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?EndingMyAuction

    It gives you the option

Cancel bids and end listing early
eBay will cancel all bids automatically.
You will select a reason for ending your listing early on the next page.
The reason for ending your listing early will be displayed on the Closed Item page.

How do I cancel bids as the seller?

I'm not cancelling for the money, I'm just too wary selling a phone that's
worth a lot, I have one watcher and a bid from someone with private feedback. I'm thinking of putting it on Amazon where I feel there's less risk - I might be wrong! I dont' know!

I find with items such as phones especially, you will not get hardly any bids until the last few hours just because there are so many phones for sale.

eBay is fairly safe so long as you make sure you have the money ok before you send it. Amazon is good cos they deal with all the money (i think) and send it to you.
