Hi,
Ive been with BT for 7 years but have just decided to leave and go with Tesco home phone, only because i make alot of calls to mobiles and Tesco seemed to be much cheaper for mobile calls.
Has anyone had experience with Tesco home phone.... good OR bad?

To get the cheaper 8.5p and 4.5p mobile calls without signing a 18 month contract you have to sign for Tesco Talk 3 (24/7 Geographical Calls) which is £7 a month ,and its only £5.95 a month with BT Option 3 if you sign a 12 month contract , and with BT the first 3 months are free.making the true cost about £4.47p a month, and the mobile bolt is included free, which brings mobile calls down to 9p and 5p a minute.
Tesco will also charge you for caller display where as its virtually free or free with BT.
Plus if you move your line rental you want be able to cps your calls to another supplier,or use www.18185.co.uk who only charge 6p a minute peak/evenings and 3.5p at weekends to call mobile numbers, with a 5p connection charge.0 -
5p connection and 3.5p/minute now at the weekendwww.18185.co.uk who only charge 6p a minute peak/evenings and 3p at weekends to call mobile numbers, with a 6p connection charge.
1899 and 18866, although more costly during the week and also charging a 5p connection fee, both still charge 3p at the weekend.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0
