Balance transfer question - think I've messed up!

I have a question about balance transfers.

I recently transferred two balances of about £2,500 onto a 0% for 6 months on my lloyds card.

I bought a car yesterday, and decided to pay for it with this card, intending to transfer the balance to my Citi card, which is offering 5.8% for life of balance. However, my credit limit is only £2,500, so it would only cover the payment I made for the car (£2,200).

I've just had a realisation, however, that when I do this balance transfer, Lloyds aren't going to transfer the purchase, are they? I assume they will keep me paying the purchase and transfer an amount on 0%?

Any ideas of how I can get round this? I do have other cards offering 6.5% for life, but really wanted to keep as much as poss at 0%.

I think you have answered your own question.
They will transfer the 'free' lending and keep the car purchase and charge interest on this unless you have another card to transfer to.

The rule is never ever mix cards for BT's and purchases.

Oh !!!!!!. I'll have to transfer them elsewhere. Very annoying!
