Sorry to sound 'dim'........

I have just taken delivery if a 2005 focus (rental) without a manual. Can anyone shed some 'light' on the lighting control? The knob is labled (clockwise)

Parking Light | Off | Dipped Beam | High Beam

I have been driving on the setting to the right of off, which I thought was the 'normal' setting. I now wonder if that is 'dipped' as I've shown above because it seems very dim. Anyone know what the right setting for the switch is?
Life should be a little nuts; otherwise it's just a bunch of Thursdays strung together.
