quickbooks and online company...

an online company is offering to do the book keeping for all expenses . i think the idea is that i do a quick type at this end and they actually iinput it into quickbooks. i have used or looked at quickbooks in the past (this is the programme that they will be using) but i dont really know how to use it - and have heard that you really need a bit of training in it. what do people think of getting this company to do this - they are very cheap because they are online. what should i bear in mind? any tips appreciated.

Quickbooks is really easy to use if even if you have not done any book keeping. Even the terms it uses are really basic- like make invoices, recieve payments, enter bills etc. It does not have many accounting terms you may find confusing.

Like anything new, you will need to devote some time learning how to use it. its up to you if you want to devote some time learning it of which in the long run will save you some money

I noticed Learn Direct are now teaching Sage Line 50 (another accounting package) but I am not sure if they do Quickbooks as well.
One thing you may consider is to approach one of the smalll accounting firms who will charge you by the hour and will provide you with one of the juniours who will do the company set up on quickbooks (account codings or setting QB for VAT etc). This should take less than a day and they will give you a crash couse on using QB
