Northern Rock Online Account

Advice needed please about how to find some money that appears to have been sent to my bank but they say they have no trace of it.

Northern Rock started the problem because they kept giving me the wrong sort code and Swiftcode because it is an amount in Euros which is coming from Belgium.

After many attempts at paying the amount, the Company in question was then given the correct codes. All their previous attempts were send back by Northern Rock.

Northern Rock now tell me that the payment made on 15 July has never appeared and is equally not in a suspense account (which is where any unknown amounts would be held). The Company in question (who I do not doubt because they are always truthful in everything they have told me so far), say they definately sent it. They have even given me a reference code which Northern Rock are saying they have no record of.

I am at screaming point now. I don;t know what to demand as evidence from either end because we have come to a dead end and while it is only 98 Euros, I can't bear to think that someone isn't telling me the truth. As I am not familiar with bank procedures I need someone to tell me what I should be asking now.

    You need to ask the company involved to put a trace on it.
