incoming email constipation!

My outlook (2003) seems to have a problem with constipation.

Since yesterday when I switched it on, there are a number of messages waiting to download (ever increasing in number), but the first item in the queue seems to be getting stuck. It tells me at the bottom of the screen that it is receiving message 1 of 12 (or whatever) and the message size is 12.1MB. It very slowly seems to download the first few hundred bytes and then jumps to 12.0MB and then stops and then I get the 'outlook not responding' appearing in the top bar and the system seems to just freeze. My only option then appears to be to do Ctrl + Alt + Delete and close outlook.

When I try and open it again exactly the same thing happens. I have tried several times over two days now and it is driving me mad! - not helped by my limited knowledge of how it all works.

Is there any way I can take a look at the incoming messages (even just who they are from or something) and delete the problem one - or even just delete them all?

I use F-secure internet secuity 2007 if that is any help and haven't had anything popping up to tell me that there is a problem.

Any help would be very much appreciated

go to your ISP's website, click email to go into webmail on their site, sign in and delete the offending email.

OK now I'm really embaressed that that was so simple to sort out!

Turns out that the offending message was from 'House to Home' - "great ideas for decorating this Easter" - not something I recall subscribing to!#

    Thanks a million

lol, a lot of things are easier than you'd expect but if you've never had to do it before you don't know where to start looking.
