ZipVit are wonderful - I am a muppet!

Not only are Zipvit the cheapest place to buy vitamins etc etc etc as you will know if you read almost any health-related post by Ted Hutchinson (anyone else want to nominate him for most useful Post of the month - August?), they are also the very friendliest and nicest people to deal with.

I placed an order online on Sunday. It said I would get an email confirmation, which I didn't, so I called their Freephone number on Monday to be told the order was already in the post, and they were sorry they hadn't been able to send the email, but they had been having some problems, and we were always welcome to phone.

The order duly arrived. And like a muppet, I didn't really check it properly until the next day. I'd placed a bulk order for Omega 3 fish oils and Evening Primrose Oil, which I thought was 360 capsules of each. So if the capsules come in pots of 90, that's 4 x 90 =360. All the pots looked the same, however, and I'd got some of each, but only 6 pots.

So I phoned and explained this, and the lovely lady said no problem, I will get another pot of each out to you today.

And they arrived today. But I looked and thought "Hang on, this still isn't right. I have another 90 Omega 3 capsules, but only 50 EPO capsules. That doesn't make 360. What is going on?"

So I rang Zipvit again. Well, said the lady, I think the bulk EPO is 200 capsules, not 360, so they come in packs of 50 or 100. I was surprised by this, as I had by now double checked the catalogue and I could definitely see something which said that bulk = 360, but we looked at the catalogue together and she was right because I was looking at the EPO with something else which I hadn't ordered, not the EPO on its own which I had ordered.

And that's when I realised that the original order was correct, and I'd got 4 x 90 Omega 3 fish oils and 2 x 100 EPOs in my first parcel. So I confessed my stupidity and said "What shall I do?" and she said "Send them back to the freepost address and don't worry about it, thank you for your honesty." Which I will do, because I like them and they offer excellent CS and I want to order from them again!

My only gripe would be that the pots all look the same unless you read the labels, but I am going to write on the lids what they are so we don't get confused. And they do that to save costs, and in fact you can even order in zipped poly bags to save the planet, so next time I will do that.

But I LOVE Zipvit! I even think the supplements are working! We're experimenting on my DH at the moment ...
