Buildings or contents Insurance - What's Covered?

Options
Hi All,
Just wondered if anyone knew if the following were covered under buildings or contents insurance:
  1. Carpets
  2. Fitted Kitchen
  3. Fitted cupboards
  4. Bathroom / toilet suite
  5. free standing gas cooker
As most of our stuff came from freecycle - not sure how much cover I should be looking at for contents insurance as we have nothing of any value really.
Just trying to 'tot up' replacement value for everything.
Though I realise in the event of a claim we would have to replace them so may not be as lucky with freecycle next time!

Thanks
BHB

Thats pretty much what I thought

JUst had a couple of quotes for seperate Buildings and contents and EACH are more than I am paying for a combined policy now ..... Bizzarre!

    Worth investigating though.
