bob I know your infection is real BUT I bet you feel better, if only in part, because of making your decision IYSWIM. Hope you are able to enjoy the rest of the break. XX ElNothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0

Your absolutely right El, I do feel better. I can turn my hand to most things and I think it was just getting it out in the open and discussing it which has focussed my mind. Weird really as i went into supply to try and make my life easier and fit around dd2 appts and hospital. I always want to contribute to household as well, but have been thinking I could get carers allowance for a short while and do a small bit of tutoring whilst i think about it. There is also the cakes! But as i was having a mooch on the shabby chic thread I also thought about that- my own little shop. I love that look and have a few lovely pieces myself.Mmm food for thought indeed. Ooh bob I was only thinking about how great it would be to have a shabby chic shop when I read what Triage said about Totnes. Have you looked at any of the blogs linked to from there ? Some of the bloggers have their own shops. You could sell your cakes too - displayed on shabby chic cake stands & plates ! Or what about a second hand bookshop - I have always fancied running on of those too but not sure if Ebay etc has killed that trade. The world is your lobster as Delboy would say ! phew..........just got snow/sleet/hailed on!!! Took Charlie out for a walk along the waters edge and it was really sunny but windy when I got out of the car.
10 minutes later, it went black and I could the snow ahead blowing across towards the water!! Walked into it for a bit and then gave up and walked back- it was freezing!! All down one side of me was soaking wet where it had blown/snowed against me.
As I dripped back to the car, I thought - what I wouldn't do now for a bowl of bunny's chicken soup!
Got back into the car - turned on the engine - the sun came back out!!! It's now bright sunshine and blue skies again!!
Had to pop to Tesco Express as I've run out of contact lens solution and felt a right old tramp standing in the queue - there seemed to be an unusually high percentage of women looking fabulous and going 'darling, how are you, sweety' into their phones also in the queue!!!"Stay Wonky":D

aaaw, thankyou guys/
I did have a bit of an odd look going on though - khaki cropped combat trousers - wet one side, dry the other, hair, wet and straggled one side, dry and straggled the other and my black poncho jumper thingy!!
There was a woman dressed as a pirate in the queue - she looked so cool!
Waist length black and red hair, red headscarf, black high heeled boots, a red, black and white skirt that was made of lots of 'leaf' shaped pieces and a long black coat.
To start off with I thought she was a goth/new romantic and was supposed to look like that and I thought 'Wow' - how cool!!!' Then the woman on the till said 'ooh, there's a pirate in the queue' and I turned and saw she was wearing a Tesco badge and as the girl on the till was wearing rabbit ears I put 2+2 together and realised she was in fancy dress for work!!!
Shows my fashion sense - I was in awe of a woman in fancy dress!!!!!!!!!!!!!"Stay Wonky":D
