Avis car hire in Tennessee

I've booked an Avis rental car using the Avis UK website for a holiday next
month in Tennessee. I chose a Group B car, picking it up at Nashville
Airport. The 'Pay Now' price was given as £248 and the 'Pay Later' price
as USD 272 (approx £146.63). I chose 'Pay Later' of course.
I have received a 'Reservation Confirmation' of this at 146.63 GBP and it does
say that it includes Local Tax, Loss Damage Waiver, Additional Liability
Insurance, Vehicle Registartion Fee, Airport Surcharge and Unlimited Mileage.
I understand LDW to be better than CDW.
This price seems too good to be true. Have I missed something which I will
only find out when I arrive to collect the car and pay? If not can I expect
Avis to honour the "Reservation Confirmation"?

They will likely try to sell you additional insurances and damage waivers, tank of petrol etc. so know what you've got/need in the small print before you go and you'll be equipped to say No to what they're offering (selling)Member of the first Mortgage Free in 3 challenge, no.19
Balance 19th April '07 = minus £27,640
Balance 1st November '09 = mortgage paid off with £1903 left over. Title deeds are now ours.0 -
Well, I rang Avis (damned 0844 number) and they confirmed that the
booking was OK and nothing more to pay.
So, I've got two weeks car hire, all inclusive for £73 per week...:j
There seems to be something odd about the website, since 'Pay Now'
would have been £124 per week.0 -
There IS something very odd about the website, because if you put other cities (i put it LAX, PHX & LAS) the pay later price comes up in £££'s, slightly more than the 'pay now' price, but for BNA, it comes up in $$$$$'s, in other words, its half price !!!!!
If you have the hire price confirmed in writing, it looks like you're onto a winner :j:j:j
