i use the foil containers from wilkinsons - i would use takeaway containers if i could afford take out food - but the foil ones take one portion and freeze in blocks so stak well in the freezer. 89p for 10 i think - even factoring this in to cost of hm soup it works out cheaper than tins and is nicer and better for you!
Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"
  • I like to use mugs for a proper cup-a-soup if I just want individual portions. I just fill any old mug to about an inch from the top of the mug and cover with cling film. I zap it in the microwave for about 5 mins to heat it up.

If I want to freezer a larger amount I just freeze it in a tupperware type container.

The soup containers from places like Tesco / sainsburys for the fancy chilled soups are perfect, have screw on lids and usually fit 1 large / 2 small portions.

I got some on a 3 for £x offer I think. And ate the soup at work for lunch, then saved the pots.

I use mugs covered in clingfilm too. I often take one out of the freezer in the morning and heat it in the microwave for lunch, or if I'm at work I take one out the night before, heat it in the morning and take it to work in a flask. Lovely.
I've also started freezing those nice seeded rolls from Morrisons that you can often get really cheap at the end of the day - they are just right heated in the oven and served with the soup.
