My computer crashed about a week ago, new hard drive and techie guy has done a huge restoration job.
We now have Office 2003 and the text size in Outlook is so small. Have tried all sorts of things via options etc to no avail.
Although my contacts are still there, I ask for a new e-mail message, go to To.. and then drop down e-mail addresses not now an option.
Any help gratefully received.
I think I might be picking your brains again about other issues over the next few days as having to send restored files to folders and also re-installing all sorts of other programmes! At least got printer back today.

Are you receiving an error message?
-> "the address list could not be displayed"
--> http://support.microsoft.com/kb/3199010 -
Hi GB,
If you mean you are not getting the 'autocomplete' email address (i.e. you type A and it shows you all addresses you've typed before beginning with A) then it is probably because the Techie Guy did not transfer across the NK2 file associated with your Outlook profile.
It can be found at c:\documents and settings\<your username>\application data\microsoft\outlook\ and will be named <profile name>.NK2 (e.g. Default.NK2)
Hope this helps

Are your addresses in your contacts list in Outlook but not showing when you go to send a mail? If so....
When you hit 'To' on the right hand side of the box it says address book and has a drop down box under that that should say 'contacts'. Drop the box down and it may have another contacts list which will be where your email addresses are.
If they're then, within your address book click tools > options > and in the top box drop it down to show the correct contacts list.
for the text size have you tried: tools > options > mail format > stationary and fonts > and changing the font size within there?0 -
Hi
Have sorted it out - yes SG that was what I had to do! Sorry I haven't been back on to thank you all but have been busy with family Easter things.
Really appreciate the help and advice on this forum - you seem to have the answers to everything!
Happy Easter.
