Nationwide Flexaccount or Cash Card Account

I'm trying to get my stuff in order and would like to open a second current account to keep some money in just for birthdays etc, seperate from the day to day current account. I have looked at the Nationwide accounts and I don't really mind if I have the Flex or Cash card account
However for the Cashcard it states that you must not have another current account, which I have with my husband. And with the Flex account it says that you need employment details, which I don't have as I'm not working due to looking after our little boy.
Do you think I would still be able to get the Cashcard account even though I have a joint account? I'm not bothered about getting the cheque book etc. Seems like a catch 22 situation?
Thanks

I don't think you need to be employed to apply for the Flex Account. Its just that if you are they require details.
I would suggest applying on line and see what happens.

I would suggest going into branch if possible to open the right current account for you. If you are just using it to save money for birthdays would it not be more sensible to open an instant access savings account instead?0

Thanks for your replies. Another quick question, just tidying up my credit file before applying.I have a couple of notices of correction on my Credit Expert file. Do you know if I can have these removed by writing to them?
