Problem with my wireless telephone

I'm hoping to get some advice about a problem I'm having with one of my landline telephones. The cordless phone has recently been playing up - everytime I use it, it screeches during a phone call and there is a lot of feedback.
One possible cause is that it started after setting up broadband on the line. However, 1) The other house phone (not wireless) is fine and 2) The problem with the wireless phone did not start immediately after connecting to the broadband service but some weeks later.
Has anyone got any ideas? Had the phone for about 1 year now so is it just broken?

Have you fitted filters to all your extensions?Always looking for a bargain and to help0

if your broadband is wireless try moving the phone base and router apart as much as possible as they both use the 2.4GHz frequency range0

Hi aqueoushumour,
as PeteHerts suggested, have you got Microfilters (little white boxes which turn the wall socket into two different shaped sockets, one for the telephone and one for broadband devices) on all of the telephone sockets that phone's or broadband equipment plug into?
These filters ensure that the signal from the telephone or broadband does spill over into the frequency range of the other, which results in noise on the line when making a phone call, or the broadband disconnect.
Hope this helps

Yes, I have filters fitted for both phones.
Does the noise mean that these are faulty?
I've just taken the filter off the secondary phone and left it on the main line. I'll see if this changes anything. I'm worried that by removing filter from the second phone that only one phone will ring when someone calls.
The advice from my IS when I received the broadband package was to fit filters to all phone lines. If the problem persists, is it possible to buy a phone that will work at a different frequency?

My broadband isn't wireless. I've moved the wireless phone to the other side of the house, and it still is making lots of noise. I'll try to remove the filter to see if this does anything.
