Confusing Streaming video Sound prob

I am having a problem with sound on streaming video. My OS is XPHome.
I get the video but no sound.
Iv'e done the obvious by changing the string value in: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\NodeCLSIDs\!!95037DA1-6ED9-4B27-8CFF-9AD3DFB0B2F2}] from '1' to '0' , but still no Joy.
Whats even more baffling is i can get sound on straming video at http://www.whoomp.com but no other sites such as YouTube, CNN, ABC, FOX,
Iv'e also tried installing new codec's in WMP 11 but still no change.
Any suggestions anyone?

Youtube and the like use Flash Player which has nothing to do with Media Player so you may want to try re-installing or upgrading Adobe Flash.0

I upgraded adobe flash player yesterday.
