Scottish Power .......... DESPERATE!!!

Just paid a visit to Quidco and see that they have an offer of £92.00 Cash Back for Scottish Power!!!

Is it me or are they DESPERATE?

I recently Swapped-Back from Scottish Power to Eon, when they put their prices up and last week I received a call from them (Scottish Power) trying to get me to stay, in fact pleading with me??? ............ the chap I spoke with sounded quite sorrowful when I said NO?

When I mentioned if they could do a better price he claimed he was in the same boat .............. no prefiential treatment (as in perks) for 'STAFF' ................. so I told him to swap his supplier as well ............. (did not go down too well?)

Anyway if you have not yet swapped ...................... might be worth a look?

If you are a low user, Scooby, you would never get out of the higher tier rates so £92 soon gets eroded.
  • I had a phone call from Scottish power a few days ago, they claimed the phone call was to let me know id got through to the next stage of winning £1000, due to a competition i entered online.

They then went on trying to see if they could save me money, it turned out they'd save me £5 a mth. Im happy with who i am, so im not switching.

I used to be with them and left to switch to my current supplier.

Funny thing is, they've been after me for a few weeks, my OH has answered the phone and i have been at work. I wouldn't go back to them if any incentive was around.

When SP guy called me I told him he was wasting his time because I already knew that BG were dearer than SP just that i was going ahead with the BG 60.00 Cashback then would switch again after it was paid.

They told us they would move our credit to the new account on the new address... a month past and they hadn't. A phonecall reassured that it would be applied. It wasn't. They're now writing a cheque for over £200.
After posting about receiving an email to my MSE username/email from 'Money Expert' (note the use of ' '), I am now unable to post on MSE. Such is life.

They NEVER admit to anything ............ otherwise they leave themselves open to a debate with you, .......... over WHY they are dearer than others, WHY they are stuffing you up (as a LOYAL) customer, over New Customer accounts, etc.......... etc ........etc.

They've heard of all the Cash Back sites ............ after all their companies are the ones, supplying the CASH BACK incentive money!!!

And no doubt they all have Dart Boards in their respective Staff Canteens, with a picture of Martin on it?

    TRUST NO ONE ...............???
