I used them once, many moons ago in the first few years of my motoring career. NEVER again. That was all it took. They are the worst company in the market and well known for trying to sell you work that isn't needed and at top dollar.
You might go there having priced something and found it competitive, but all the additions you didn't know you needed will be at uncompetitive prices, but by then you are a sitting duck.

    STAY WELL AWAY...........

The number of people that change brake pads twice on the same car are very few and far between (as Cyclonebri1 said)

I should imagine you would be able to get the same offer from many garages.
I used to be indecisive but now I am not sure.

Since the asbestos has been removed from the pads, they don't last as long as they used to - and if you drive an automatic, you'll need them replaced more often.

Cyclonebri1, thought he was stretching it quite a bit at 30k, I'd say, on average, 20 -25k these days.

Bit like fuel consumption, it rather depends on how heavy people are with their right boot.

I drive an automatic and I have just changed the front disc pads for the first time at 38,500 miles.:)

I had a nearly new vectra in 99, the discs wore out before the pads and that was at well over 50K, Might well be worth OE pads?
I like the thanks button, but ,please, an I agree button.

Will the grammar and spelling police respect I do make grammatical errors, and have carp spelling, no need to remind me.;)

True, I have replaced the OE's with Ferodo's, but will probably never know how long they will last as the car is due for a change soon.:)

Okay thanks guys looks like its best to stay clear. I thought brake pads need replacing every couple of years at most. I have had a couple of cars over years that needed them, in MOT in Jan 0, it picked them up as needed replacing shortly as they are about 25% left, obviously it depends on usage etc

You do get what you pay for, and there are some really cheap cr8p ones out there. It does depend on the right foot too - guess that kinda sums me up a bit! I drive auto too these days and I don't like to hang around, plus lots of hills etc en route to work!

We often 'recommend' pads in ex amount of miles/or next service - some do need doing, some don't. OE is ok, we do use alot of Ferodo, but cheap cheap is not on. They screech and squeal like mad after a few miles!

remember cheapest isnt always the best!

they can cause much more trouble than they are worth, brake fade etc...
