Just had an e-mail from Tesco. Lord of the Rings Trilogy set is reduced from £49.99 to £14.99. Offer ends at the end of today.

This is the original non extended edition. Not a bad deal though. Seems to be the cheapest!

For a start you get 4 discs instead of 2. Lots of extra features. I don't know if the standard versions have this, but in the extended ones all the deleted scenes are put back into the film as was originally intended.Baby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

It says there are six discs in the box set. Or do you mean 4 discs per film? In which case, why on earth does one film need 4 discs? do people actually watch all the extras?!0 -
4 discs per film. I bought each extended edition seperately and have in total 12 discs. The films on their own take up 2 discs per film and then there are another 2 discs of extras per filmBaby Year 1: Oh dear...on the move

Just order the two collectors editions.....now to find The Fellowship of the Ring collectors edition.....and hubby will be sorted for Xmas!0

I've got the ultra extended version: 24 discs, 2 new films on last 6 discs, box in the shape of the ring, a ceremonial sword and a free hobbit. He lives in my shed.0
