Help Needed!!!!!!!!!

Hi Folks

Can some kind soul tell how to expand a page!

Each time I open a favourite it opens in a small page and I have to press the top right hand button to expand it to full screen page.

I know you can alter it somewhere in Internet Explorer (properties) but for the life of me can’t find it!

Any help on the subject most appreciated.

Best regards

Have you tried 'tools' - fullscreen? Not sure if this works on a permanent basis.
edit - don't do that, it just makes the toolbar disappear!

When Internet Explorer opens as a small window!
I think everyone has had this happen at one time or another.

    1. Open a link.
    2. Don't use the maximize button.
    3. Stretch the corners so that the window fills the screen.
    4. Close all other IE windows.
    5. Close the stretched window last.

    Maybe this will help?

    Easiset option.

Right click the Internet Explorer Icon, Properties, Run, Maximized, OK
  • It sounds like you have been the unwitting victim of a browser hi-jacker.

This problem occurs when a pop-up opens in a resived window, usually from a JavaScript prompt. IE has a nasty habit of remembering the last size setting and opening all subsequent windows at this size.

There are afew things you could try to clear this problem. I'm using IE7, so instructions are based on that browser.

Firstly, clear all your browsing history by going to Tools/Internet Options and clicking on Delete under Browsing History. Select Delete All at the bottom of the next menu box.

If this doesn't help, you can clear all IE settings by going to Tools/Internet Options then the Advanced Tab. Click the Reset button at the bottom.

Perhaps the best advice I can give is to get rid of IE all together and use an alternative browser such as Opera or Firefox. Both are much lighter applications and run cleaner and faster. The vast majority of browser hi-jackers and other spyware are aimed at IE users, so swapping to an alternative browser can help keep you protected.

    Hope this helps.
