SOA stands for statement of affairs and its basically a list of all your incomings and outgoings. Don't worry too much about the debt free wannabee language, youll soon pick it up.0

Hi Sue, Well done for posting. Get into the figures and nitty gritty, dig out all your bills..... I bet you feel better...

Thank you so much for everyone that responded to my dilemma. I have had my parents round today so I haven't been able to do much in the way of sorting. I have two weeks off school now for Easter and I shall deal with this first thing on Tuesday. That's a promise.0

Welcome Sue :hello:,
I really just want to reinforce what's already been said - thinking about the debt is infinitely worse than dealing with the debt. Before my LBM I hadn't had a decent night's sleep on months. I finally plucked up the courage to open the cupboard bursting with bills, and I haven't looked back since! Of course, it's not going to be easy at first, and I won't be the only one to tell you that when you first realise what you're up against you will be truly terrified. BUT it will never, never be as bad as all that worrying.
Post your SOA, and give the amazing people here a chance to have their input.
You're really not alone now,

Hi. Well done at getting started. Do collect all your bills and debts, even if all you do is put them into a folder you will feel much more in control.
I haven't been doing this long, but feel much better and I'm not panicking about getting bills. In fact I'm getting sadly excited when I think about ways of paying off debts
.
If you can't get the SOA to behave, you could copy and paste someone's from this site onto a word document, fill in your figures then copy and past it back onto your thread.Lightbulb moment Feb 2008.
