i have a laptop which is wireless and it connects to my router box no probs however my pc is not wifi enabled,can anyone tell me the best usb pen to buy to gain access to the network

Any will work as long as you get the matching type (b/g/n etc), for ultimate compatibility safety buy the same brand as a router, e.g. if the router is a Netgear get a Netgear USB wi-fi stick.
You could also connect to the router using Ethernet, providing you don't want to use the laptop in different rooms too.0
