    I think that if our quote "account managers" un quote were "British" or "Scottish" or "welsh" or "Irish" and not based in a "foreign country" then we would have better service and common understanding, yes I said it "not in a foreign country", I hate talking to Asian staff and those Lloyd grossman/american/ausi beech bum accents-I work in a sales dept I don’t give a f**k about anybody but my selfish idiot little self people, there are lots of people on the dole in this country who would be happy to work in a call centre, there are enough empty ones these days so lets fill them with "English speaking" not "Asian English speaking" people or "Lloyd Grossman American, ausi beech bum accents-people", go on all you politically correct do-gooders go and hit the report button and call the racist hotline, this is not racism, this is reality and companies like "BARCLAY CARD" need to wake up and stop being greedy and outsourcing there work to other "foreign" countries, there I have said it enough is enough!
    Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

    Sorry if I have upset or offended anyone, but i had to get my point across, I think a large majority would agree with what i have posted.

    I know the feeling, I started with a £200 limit then I placed an order for some shoes, they a few days later reduced my limit to £146 without notice, why?

    The amount of people that are having their credit limits reduced arbitrarily (inc myself) makes me wonder if Barclays aren't exposed to the credit crisis more than they would like and are feeling the pinch.

    My limit was only £750 and when I cleared the balance to £0 they quickly reduced the limit to £260 which in and of itself doesn't make much sense especially as when I called them to ask why I got some blurb about having my account reviewed.

    I accepted that and told the guy I wanted to close the account since the limit was so small. He put me through to the customer retention department and the consequence of that was my original limit was reinstated.

    You made me laugh out loud then .....

    I did have a chap call me recently from India. He was very polite and had the broadest Indian Accent ever. I was o.k. , until he told me his name was Henry. That hit my funny bone and I lost it ...I had to say sorry to him.

    Anyway I always find overseas call centre staff very polite and helpfull.
    To me it makes no difference where they are based. They all read the same autocue machine.

    I think you're right. I've posted it elsewhere but I had a letter from Barclays/ Woolwich today asking me if I wanted to get rid of a £48k reserve facility on my mortgage. They've never asked us this before....strange?:cool:

    Have you seen the London Interbank Lending Rate today ?

    The Banks are feeling very nervous at the moment.

    Never laughed so much ...just a shame we will end up paying the price.

    They just are a bit short of stock in the warehouse.
    And the suppliers are nervous about giving them more stock.
    :rotfl:

    Stock = Money
    Suppliers = Banks
