Laptop advice, pls.

Hi, can someone please explain the differences between the 3 different Vostro 1000s. Thanks.

I bought the most expensive now, and now thinking the cheaper one would have been sufficient?

Thanks.

It depends what you intend to use it for primarily.

I see the one you purchased includes Intel Core2Duo processor, while the other cheaper options use a range of AMD dual and single core processors.
The Intel Core2Duo is definitely the best choice, since Intel processors are superior to AMD in every respect, being dual core it should be able to handle most tasks you're likely to perform.
I would say if you're looking for a laptop to last, the processor and the 2GB of RAM makes this a sensible choice, since there will be less of a need to upgrade.

You said you bought the most expensive one, the most expensive one there included the Intel Core2Duo processor.

Surely this means 2 of the AMD Athalon 64, doesn't it?
Or is X2 part of the name?
