    Angel, actually adding a Graphics card is dead easy. It's finding out what your PC will support that's the trickly bit!

    I'd still suggest opening the case and seeing if you do actually have an AGP slot, if you do a second hand card should be reasonably cheap and while it won't play Crysis at high settigns it should improve on what he's got now and keep him going until he get's his new machine.

    unless it is a 4x agp slot which won't accept new agp cards - so best not to just go on sight.

    4x AGP cards will still run in an 8x AGP slot. They'll just be limited to 4x AGP data transfer rates.

    yes but 8x agp cards (the kinda thing you may just want to run a game) won't run in a 4x slot....

    ok, will phrase it a little better - you're not going to be able to play modern games with a 4x agp slot.
