Paypal Email - NOTICE OF PAYMENT REVIEW: DO NOT SEND.

I sold an item for £50 plus p&p about half an hour ago, buyer paid with confirmed address, paypal stated eligible for seller protection, so everything seemed fine. The buyer has approx 200 feedback, a regular buyer of normal things (clothing, jewellery etc) 1 negative about a year ago for non payment
I have just received an email from paypal that I have never seen before:
NOTICE OF PAYMENT REVIEW: DO NOT SEND.
Dear x,
To help protect you, PayPal is conducting a Payment Review on the transaction below. The process may take up to 24 hours. Upon completion of the review, PayPal will either clear or reverse the payment. If PayPal clears the payment, the transaction will be eligible for Seller Protection. You should not send the item until PayPal notifies you that the transaction has cleared. Notification of review outcome will be provided to you by email and in the Transaction History tab of your PayPal account.

I have since checked my paypal account and they have taken the money back off me and put my account in to negative stating that the buyers payment is pending and under review.

8 minutes after the first paypal email, i just got another one:

Is it addressed to Dear member or your ebay ID?It aint over til I've done singing....0 -
checked paypal account again and money is back in there.
If these payment reviews are a new thing and likely to happen more often, i'm beginning to wonder if i should be posting items so quickly in case the payment is reviewed and then declined - despite having a confirmed address and eligible for seller protection I am not sure what would happen if it had been posted and then declined. I usually post same or next working day.0 -

it is a genuine email, i checked my paypal account and the money was taken and then returned to me.0 -
How odd. Given that there is no post tomorrow (that is right isn't it?) I myself would be tempted to leave posting until Tuesday and see if anything else happens.It aint over til I've done singing....0

well i presume it's ok now since it has been given the all clear by paypal. i hope so anyway.
there is no post tomorrow as good friday is a bank holiday. i was going to go to the post office on saturday and then tuesday if necessary with other items as no post monday either due to easter monday bank holiday.0 -
Hope it all turns out. Would've been useful to have some sort of notification if they were going to introduce this sort of thing though.It aint over til I've done singing....0

its just lucky it didn't happen this afternoon before i went to the post office and then after it was posted being informed that the payment had been declined.0

I had this one on Wednesday, at first I thought oh !!!!!!, as I had posted the item, and started to compose an email to the customer, then 8 minutes later it was completed and ok to send, monies released
it must have been a blip, or an auto check on something, but in the end I had already posted so fingers crossed0
