NATIONWIDE - did March statement date change?

Hi
Following the credit card statement in February, I am SURE the Nationwide website stated the March statement cutoff would be the 14th.
I had a very large payment to make so left it until the 15th so I wouldn't have to pay it back until May.
However, I have just seen the statement date is the 17th so my purchase will have to be paid April - one month before I had budgeted for.
Can I ask please - has anyone else noticed this change in statement date this month ????
I think it could have been a computer glitch caused by the leap year but I need help before I can argue my case with Nationwide.
Also, I too have been charged the "merchandise interest" this month by Nationwide.
I have sent them online messages 3 days ago but haven't heard anything from them yet.
Thanks
Rob
