£145,000 to save - whats the best way to go?

Hello
I am about to inherit £145k and am going of to OZ for 3 months on a reckie to see if we like it. What is the best plan for the money while we are away? Never had this amount of cash and we never get to save money so not sure what to do?

Thanks
Viks

High interest savings account like Icesave/ICICI bank etc.
This time period is far too short to consider anything other than savings.

Have a look somewhere like moneysupermarket.com for the best instant access monthly interest account rates.

Short term fixed....6 month offers are higher than variable direct instant access offers...
I would stick with the big providers but thats just me...safety in numbers....

Speak to your bank manager about participating in the overnight money markets.
