The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.0

Hello MrsE
Your snorkelling experience will be so much better if you can identify the fish you see...........while you're still in the water.;)
When I go snorkelling, I always take a fish identification dive card with me. I've found that they're not always available to buy locally, so I prefer to pack one in my case.
The link below shows a guide to Red Sea fish:

Enjoy your holiday.

We bought our snorkel gear in sharm and it was much cheaper.
Also the poster who said take a card to identify the fish, what a good idea, wish we'd had one of those, it would have saved a lot of arguments over whether we saw the same things (and saved us sounding very professional in restaurants calling them blue swishy ones etc).MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740 -

The Crowne Plaza area is one of the best - loads of diving boats arrive every day. They were building that hotel when we were there, hope it's finished now! Also agree about the fish ID cards. BTW taxi from Sharm - ask what the going rate is and pay no more - it was £20 egyptian when we went in 2004, be prepared to haggle - go to the rank when it's busy as the cabbies won't have time to haggle much as cabbies behind them in the queue want to get a fare too! We went when it was quiet and it took us 20 minutes to get them to £20 - they started at about 70!!!0
