Well I've been waiting for a fiver from WS since 2nd May and I'm tearing my hair out. Never heard anyone complain they didn't get paid from STP.

From what I have read through small dips into the STP thread you do some then give it a rest for a while then go back to it again.

With WS you write a few comments then wait moths to find out if you are going to get paid. Most of the time you don't even know if the people behind the site are still alive.

There's nothing else for me to do now but shave my head and join SLP.

haha! thats so true.

I did that with STP, did about£2 on one night and £3 on the other, do that twice a week and its a fiver i suppose.
And your right STP paid me 2-3 days after I requested it, no hidden charges, no problems, just the cash I earnt in my paypal acount.
You may have just swayed me.....

Just to keep you all updated I recieved a reply from writers share from the writersshare.co.uk email address that i mailed a week or so ago asking if the money they owed me was from approved comments and saying they will pay me soon. I have asked them when 'soon' is...will post when I have a reply.

To be honest I was pleased that they got back to me as I have never recieved a reply before...maybe because I requested in no uncertain terms that someone replied...

Make it fast, WS, or you'll be back in my bad books ... oh, and while you're at it, get the site back up and running, and this time BE PREPARED for the inevitable deluge of contributions from MSE writers ...

That wouldn't surprise me!
I'm sure that if a MSEer set up a site like this it would be waaaay better than WS is atm, especially as we have their mistakes to learn from!

I received an email from them last week to say that payment had been sent the day before for 2 outstanding comments (although I don't think I actually had any outstanding comments ).

Thing is, there is nothing from them in my PP account!

I didn't bother emailing them back as I don't think they actually owe me anything. But I do think they are still in a bit of a pickle!

I go back to one of my earlier posts on all this - I can rationalise why there may be technical problems, why they may have had a larger response than they had planned for etc, etc - but for the life of me I cannot understand the "stop -start", "make contact - then disappear" totally erratic behaviour we all witness. If nothing else - I hope those who are still waiting for money get paid.

WS - this is no way to run a business - it is a very good way of earning a bad reputation!
