can anyone recommend a wireless all in one printer?

I am looking for a new printer, needs to be wireless wifi, I mostly print black and white (500 A4 a month) but would like the option of printing the odd photo, it needs to have a copy and scan. I have had HP in the past. I am hoping to buy a Sony laptop to connect wirelessly to it. But connect my old HP desktop pc to it by usb wire. This has XP and my new Sony will have Vista. Can anyone recommend or give me advice. I have searched today and it is confusing as needing wifi narrows down the options.

While prices for Lexmark printers often seem very good value in comparison with other brands, the ink cartridges are very expensive. I guess this is how they make their money.

    I would definitely avoid Lexmark.

I've just recieved my HP4380 and I am pretty pleased with it so far. I got mine delivered from Currys for just under £74:

I also paid just under £19 delivered for a set of cartridges (1 black, 1 colour) from Amaon marketplace.

It is easy to set up - the instructions are good and the CD walks you through it all too. I had to uninstall it and reinstall it again though as there seemed to be a problem the first time. The installation took a long time, but once it was up and running I was very impressed.

It will detect your router automatically - you just need to know what your password is and input that when prompted.

If you're printing B&W in bulk, buy a B&W laser. Printing B&W documents on an inkjet is expensive and slow. If you're getting a wireless router, you can plug the printer into the router via ethernet if it has its own inbuilt printserver, which most do now, or through a printserver from £20 upwards. For the occasional photo, I might be tempted to suggest a mini photo printer, but if you plan to use it lots, it can become very expensive. For printing photos, the best option is often to go to a professional developer, eg Boots or Jessops, who print really very cheaply if you're willing to go back next day.

    Hope that helps!
