Best cheapish SatNav?

I've been saying for some time that I would treat myself to a SatNav when the well-known makes break the £100 barrier. Now I see the TomTom one (UK) is on offer at £99!

Most people seem to think the choice effectively lies between the TomTom one and the Garmin Nuvi 250 if you only want to spend around £100. The Nuvi offers european maps for the same price but, since I rarely venture beyond Brittany, this is hardly an issue for me.

So which is the better buy, do you think?

I've got the Nuvi 250 and I think it is excellent. To be honest I doubt if there is much between them but if you can get the Nuvi 250 for the same price as a UK only Tom Tom one you I'd get the European one just in case.

If the Nuvi 250 is a bit more than £100 then Halfords have the Nuvi 200 for £99.99 at the moment which is UK only.

BTW Garmin released their latest maps this month so they're very up to date. I don't know how up to date Tom Toms's are.
It's my problem, it's my problem

And it's my problem if I have no friends
And feel I want to die
