Would there be any charges invloved and is it possible to balance transfer a US credit card to a UK one?

No it isn't possible to do that. American Express are the only credit card I am aware of that if you move from the US to the UK or vice versa, you can take your credit limit and card with you and get a local card product but you can't do inter country balance transfers.0 -
Every time I've done a BT I've given the card number & they've known who the issuing company is. I can't see them proceeding if it's a US company, although I don't see it being a problem. Ask & find out!0

It is going to be a problem if you have a card in the US denominated in US dollars and you want to balance transfer to a card in the UK in UK pounds.0
