Switching supplier - any costs???

Hi - this might be a silly question, but if I switch from npower to British Gas for dual fuel will I have to pay any balance owing to npower first or will the outstanding amount switch to British Gas too?

Hi, npower will send you a final bill which will cover the period up to when you leave them, you must pay this, it will not be transferred to Bgas. If the amount outstanding is very high, ie covering a past debt they may block the transfer until it is paid.Hope this helps.
