Hi all,
I'm new to this board so I hope I've posted this in the right place!
I purchased an item from Ideal World Shopping; something which I am now really regretting!
It took over a week for the item to be delivered and when I received it the item was not what I ordered. I tried phoning them and could not get through so I e-mailed them. After a week they replied telling me to call customer services - no help at all!
I have since returned the item for a full refund by first class recorded delivery. The item was delivered to them a week ago as I was able to track the item, however, I have still not received any refund or any confirmation that they have received the item. I tried calling them this morning on their regional number 01733887123 and was put through to customer services where I was just left waiting.
Does anybody have any suggestions on how to contact them or how I can get my money back? How long should it take for a refund to be issued and should I just keep trying the customer services number?

Try e-mailing the boss. [EMAIL="andrew.fryatt@idealshoppingdirect.co.uk"]andrew.fryatt@idealshoppingdirect.co.uk[/EMAIL] I had problems getting a refund from them last year and an e-mail to him (one of his minions probably deal with them) worked instantly.
Their offshore CS are total rubbish. Look on saynoto0870 for geographical number too.
Never bought anything from them since.0 -

We're another one with problems...
Me and my mum ordered two items from them costing £70 in total on 27/02
They were quick enough to take the money from my mother's card, however they took a week to dispatch them. We eventually got the items, tried them on, and decided that we didn't want them.
My mother sent them back (only afterwards noticing that they 'recommend recorded delivery' on their site). It's now been 14 days since we returned these items, and mum has tried to email them (getting an auto responce stating they'll reply within 7 working days - to an email!). She's called the call centre numerous times, and has basically been banging her head against a brick wall. Apparently their processes are infalliable, and we have to wait 3weeks before they'll concider investigating.
I've just found this thread - so we're going to try the email address given, in the hope that we'll get our money back!:cool: Proud DFW Nerd 135 :cool:Sealed Pot Challenge - 0190 -

I phoned Consumer Direct yesterday and explained the situation to them. The lady I spoke to was very helpful, she said that it sounded like poor customer service. Her advice was to send a letter first class recorded delivery to Ideal World explaining that you are entitled to and require a full refund and that if you do not receive one in 14 days then you will be seeking further advice. She also said to explain how you have taken the time and effort to write to them. She then told me to contact Consumer Direct again if I have any further problems and then she will take it from there.
I am going to post a letter to them first thing Tuesday morning and will keep you posted as to what happens.
