Most of those fonts were unreadable to me. Post 10 was clear and later when you used Arial.0

Thanks for the suggestions and comments. As Cleosmum's OH has suggested, tables would be the best, but they don't seem to be possible on MSE. Tables are what are used to create the main page of the calculator and also the Printer Friendly format.
At the moment using one of the limited selection of monospaced fonts seems to be the most workable option. However, there must be a lack of consistency in how they are displayed on different browsers. Either that or there are signficant differences on what people find readable. People have expressed preferences for scrollable and non scrolllable (I can't do both at the same time!), and for different fonts (courier, courier new and lucida).
The other alternative would be to use a standard font like Arial but that would mean all the table alignment would be out of the window. Maybe that doesn't matter.
For the time-being I shall leave it at Courier but may change to courier new if that is more widely accepted.
