Well aren't you the pompous one. Your comments are just assumptions based on your own suspicious mind.

FYI I we have currently 3 cars in the household and 4 motorbikes, I have insured at least one bike and car for the past 30 years. I guess myself and my wife have contributed approx £20,000 to the insurers in that time without making any claims, so do not say that It is people like me that make your insurance premiums higher.

    So answer the question

How long prior to the insurance transfer has your son been the main driver?

I dont expect to get an honest answer but its pretty clear to me you were fronting or commiting fraud

Whatever answer I give, you clearly have you own pre-concieved ideas. You are truly the smartest man alive.

Why, whenever a question like the OP's comes up does everyone posting that question have to be fronting?!? Even if they are fronting (not suggesting you are OP) what business is it of anyone elses? If they get caught its their insurance that gets cancelled and they will pay the price for that in sky high premiums, if they can even get quotes after being found out.

Tony, don't assume that everyone on this site is like some on this thread. Not everyone will jump to conclusions.....a lot will but not everyone :D
:heart2: Love isn't finding someone you can live with. It's finding someone you can't live without :heart2:

    Tony

    Thanks for the additional info.

As far as I can see, as you say, the policies overlapped by 12 hours so Tesco should have no reason not to maintain the NCD. They are just being silly by the sound of it.

You will understand my surprise that you coincidentally bought a new vehicle, and took out a new policy to cover it, on exactly the same day that your existing insurance expired. Is there some reason why that was the case? Because I think that's what has made some people even more cynical than myself!

I have also bought a new car, and given my wife the old car, and taken out a new insurance policy in her name for the old car. I've also kept both cars registered in my name, because it doesn't matter.

I am surprised that your son hasn't had problems doing this, though. Most insurers will accept a car being registered in the name of the policyholder or their spouse; some will not accept anything other than the policyholder being the registered keeper. I wasn't aware of any insurer which would accept any relative other than spouse being the registered keeper. Doubtless your son told Tesco that your son was not the registered keeper when he took out his policy.

Regarding shelly's comments, the reason that so many questions like this meet accusations of fronting is that fronting is exactly what many of the OPs are actually doing, whether innocently or intentionally fraudulently. It's not in any of those OPs' interests for those more knowledgeable than themselves to fail to point out that fronting is illegal and is likely to lead to insurers' failure to meet claims if it is identified.
