Hi MSE's!
After years of reading the forums and being a fan of Mr Lewis' work i have finally decided to take the plunge and join the forum.
Sorry to say though, but my first post is a want!
My brother has recently "purchased" a DVD hack for our SONY DAV-DZ230 home theatre system from www.alldvdcodes.com for the plum total of £2.75!
After following their instructions and downloading a file to disk to use on the DVD player and pressing the 0 button etc etc as directed - surprise surprise it doesn't work!
After a bit of searching around i am under the suspicion that there is not a hack available for this model, unless some extremely kind person(s) can tell me otherwise!
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Mucho Thanks
Pete

Apparently [from avforums.com]
No Sony's can be modified via codes entered with its own remote. They require a factory service remote, available from modification companies (try http://www.multiregionupgrades.com/upgrades/sony/davdz230.htm ] or bought pre-modded new from a specialist AV retailer.
hope it helpsLearn to laugh at yourself ... everyone else has:rotfl:

Or running an app on a laptop with an irda port. They say it's genetic, they say he can't help it, they say you can catch it - but sometimes you're born with it0
