Alliance and Leicester overdrafts

After a lot of thinking this time last year I decided to take Martin's advice and switch to Alliance and Leicester. The switch process went fine and they gave me a £250 overdraft limit. I wanted an overdraft but I did not want a large overdraft. Anyway I have been with them for about a year now and I have just noticed that they are going to apply charges to my account on the 28th of March for £5.00 for the overdraft usage fee of 50 pence per day.

Is this correct? Will I get charged interest for this as well on top of this £5.00 charge. I think that it might be more expensive for me instead of just getting charged interest from other banks.

No, as long as you stay within the aggreed overdraft ammount, the most you will pay is £5.
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.
  • Thanks for that I thought that I might have to pay interest as well on top of the £5.00
