Anyone Else nearly Finished their Xmas 2008 shopping. Are we Mad!!!

Today I've bought the last of my xmas pressies for 2008 for my extended family.

So far I've bought for nine nieces and nephews, MIL, Fil, mother, most of my DD aged 4, few bits for DD aged 11 and DD aged 14. Sister and BIL

Will get main pressies for DD's later in the year when they know what they want and now will start picking up bits for DH

Not only are all these things bought they are wrapped, labelled and in the loft.

I've bought and wrapped DD's birthday presents for next month and other 2 dd's have already had their birthdays.

I've wrapped most pressies for friends birthdays this year.

So now I'm sat thinking am I hyper organised or am I mad!!!

Everything has been bought in sales or from offers so the £15 I usually spend per niece or nephew has either bought 3 or 4 times the value, or they have got a £15 present that I have paid much less for

1 niece has got a baby annabell double pram which I paid £16 and would have cost over £40.

Is anyone else in this position or am I alone in my madness :j

  • If Christmas was tomorrow I could probably manage to give everyone their pressies, I'm doing hampers and have quite a lot of stuff already, so yes I would say I'm quite organised or mad too!

Well, I just had a shufty at my lists, and it appears that I'm fairly close to everyone having something.

There will be more to get before I'm truly finished - hamper extras and my lots 'request' presents in the main - but no-one would be empty handed if I gave it all out now.

    :)

Another super-organised (obesessive?!) person here. Almost all Xmas and birthday shopping done. I was feeling quite smug too till I saw Ella's post above - wow, writing out Xmas cards in March!!! I'm dead impressed (and envious!)

got most presents sorted for xmas apart from my dh and the main presents for my 5 children (which judging by what they are already asking for may work out very expensive lol)

Just wondering, all of you that've bought so far ahead...don't you feel like you're "missing out" a bit on part of Christmas? Personally I quite enjoy running around madly in a crammed city, giant list of stuff to buy in one hand, dozens of carrier bags in the other...It gets you into the "festive spirit"..(or at least drives you to drink, which is more or less the same thing :))

ditto kellyf i get more than enough spirit with the food shop n etting the kids stuff which i do nearer xmas when theyve decided what they want
i hate those last few weeks of queueing to park n queuing to pay etc
this was i get most done in january, sale stuff, crackers (cost 80p instead of £8 a box-bargain, wrapping paper 30p form £3 a roll etc) then stocking fillas n extras for kids each month
have got the cards but not written them yet-thats a first !!! wow x
