bailiffs taking my car in 7 days

Options
Hi dont know if anyone can help but here goes.
Today had two bailiffs turn up wanting 900pound, or they will take my car. I said to them that when they sent me a letter 4 months ago that i could not afford to pay it in one go and could i pay it montly at 40pound they said no. Told them i was not working and couldnt afford it, they said they would send someone out to asses my suituation and come to an aggrement. No one turned up then today they turned wanting all the money or my car. They have taken my keys tax disc and documents for the car and have given me 7 days to pay. Is there anyway i can stop this action.

Did they give you and did you sign a walking possesion on the car and did you ever let them in your house and finally what is the original debt for.
Did he give you a copy of the authority to collect the debt and finally was he from the court or a private company.
  • I hope your car isn't on the road without tax displayed, as you can still be done ( i believe ) even if you've paid for tax.
Have you got a spare set of keys? like the other poster said, you need to move the car somewhere.
Is there nothing you can sell to try & get this money together?
I'm sure you've looked into every way you can get the money, but I'm just worried that they will add more charges & soon it will become impossible for you.
I'm sorry I can't help, all the best.

Wow--- can they take the tax disc? apart from the fact that they have left it untaxed (or failure to display) they have not actually paid for the tax???

    Can someone advise??
